About
Alli is a self-taught painter who was born and raised in northern Michigan. Her inspiration has always drawn from the natural world as she fell in love with replicating the landscapes before her during family trips to western Canada and Michigan’s upper peninsula using her mom’s watercolor paints.
Later on, she graduated with a degree from the University of Michigan’s college of Architecture. Appreciating the art of the built-environment, Alli craved a more elastic medium so in her spare time picked up acrylic painting. She grew to love the texture and flexibility of the medium and hasn’t turned back. Whenever she travels, she documents with photos and brings them home for a fresh paint session to replicate the memories.
Her art has been featured in several exhibitions in 2018 and 2019 including the most recent at The University of Michigan’s North Campus Research Complex gallery space.
